Casa Cuatro is a large quality house situated in the popular  Monumental Zone of the ancient historical Spanish city of Antequera in Malaga Province here

With it's traditional high ceilings and marble and ceramic floors, it retains it's cool in the summer heat.

Whilst retaining the look and feel of a traditional Spanish home, it is equipped with all the modern labour saving devices and aspects to make your holiday very comfortable.

It is available for short (minimum 1 week), Summer breaks, and longer winter breaks (up to 3 months) at competitive rentals. It is ideal as a city break destination.

Most self-catering accommodation in the region of Antequera, is just that!, " in the region of . . ." - Casa Cuatro is actually right in the city itself, so the main street with all it's life and attractions is a short 5-10 minute walk away.

And, being in the 'Zona Antiguo', it is right in the midst of many of Spain's most ancient buildings and monuments, as well as the Alcazaba, which originates back to Moorish Spain.

The ancient city of Antequera is in the province of Malaga, Andalucia (Andalusia), in southern Spain.  It lies at the crossroads of major highways and train links between Granada - Malaga - Seville - Cordoba and Huelva.  It is also on the main AVE high speed train link from Malaga to Madrid, and indeed, this makes the centre of Madrid within 2 hours travelling time.

The proximity of some of the best sights and experiences in Spain are, in many cases, a relatively short distance away.

Terms and Costs - 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING
Minimum rental is 1 week, maximum is 3 months, (by arrangement)
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate young children, pets, or the infirm, (the property is over three floors with marble staircases),  (also there are no cots, high chairs, safety gates, single beds available, or suitable facilities., such as a garden or exercise area  for pets). 
It is a  non-smoking property.  Weeks are based on a 7 night stay and run from 4pm Sat to 11am Sat following - (bookings can be made outside this time frame, (eg. Weds-Weds),  but will NOT attract any discounts).

Cleaning  - 1 week booking;
The premises will be cleaned prior to your arrival and have sufficient fresh clean linen provided at the start of your stay .  No further cleaning or linen change or laundry service will be provided.

2 week and more bookings;
As 1 week booking, plus 'light clean' & linen change for 2nd and subsequent weeks, full details here

Charges (and what they include or not)
Holiday rental charges are based on up to four persons and  include:  Sufficient linen (sheets, pillowslips, hand,  bath and tea towels) for the length of your stay, electric, water and gas costs.  Transport and transfer costs are NOT  included.   Beach or sunbathing towels are NOT provided.

A welcome pack of; 2 bottles water (1 still, 1 sparkling), 1 bottle of red or white wine, 1 baguette, 250g packs butter & margarine, 1 litre fresh milk, 250g ground medium coffee, (for cafetierre), and a small selection of fruits and salads is included.

In addition a supply of tea, sugar, Instant coffee, salt, pepper, toilet rolls, hand soap, washing up liquid, and cleaning materials etc.  is left at the property, which will be sufficient for your stay . 

Sunday arrivals / Extras etc. (also see below) 
A full grocery shopping service is available for people who either arrive on Sunday, (Spanish supermarkets close), or prefer to arrive at the accommodation, and not have to worry about supplies.  The cost of this service will depend on  your shopping list, but it starts at €10 PLUS the cost of any items in addition to the basic welcome pack.

Meet & Greet, Key hand over
As part of the cordon bleu service, you will be met by a key-holder, who as well as providing the keys, will show you around, make sure everything is working ok ,  show you how it  works,  and help you to generally settle in. 

As well as 'showing you the ropes', they will be available as your contact for the duration of your stay. 

You will be given their telephone number to cover any emergency or help requirement, when you make your booking and pay your final balance.

 (N.B - It's a good idea to telephone before leaving the airport and arrange to meet up at least 1 hour later.  This ensures that your greeter is ready for your arrival).

Deposits
A €150 booking deposit is payable on reservation, with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival, (along with any additional  cost of extras).

In addition there is a damages / breakages / extra cleaning / security deposit of €150, which will normally be returned within a few  days of the end your stay, provided the premises are left in a clean and reasonable condition, without any major breakages or damage.  - (the odd glass, cup or plate will NOT be charged for).

 Any breakages or damaged items will be replaced or repaired, and any extra cleaning  required will be performed and paid for from the deposit, the  surplus (if any) will be returned, again within a few days of final receipt of bills/costs of replacements or repairs.

Payments
Initial deposit only is payable via PayPal, (see here for full detail), with the balance, including security deposit and any extras via Bank transfer, (Bank details supplied on receipt of confirmed booking/deposit).

Car hire, though NOT essential, is available at special rates Local transport links are good, and many sites of interest are well within walking distance.

Transport/Transfers
Car hire in Spain is reasonable, see here (Discount CODE with Booking)
Taxis generally are reasonable, BUT from Malaga airport they cost between €65 and €75 one way
There is an hourly direct bus service from Malaga to Antequera, so another way to do it is a Taxi from airport to Malaga bus station, and from Antequera bus station to Casa Cuatro.  This would work out at about  €30 for two persons, and probably €40 for 4 persons. (see here)
Taxi to/from Eroski / Bus station / Rail station €5 - 7.
Local 'sprinter' bus service to destinations like town & hypermarket costs €1 one way.
Local 'commuter trains' are reasonably priced and reliable  (see map)
Bikes are now available in Antequera - watch this space for info! 
Longer distance Bus services start from the bus station  (see map)
Regular service many cities, inc.  to Malaga  - Adult fare is around €5

Long term rentals
Winter, (snowbird type) bookings of 1 month or more are based on 2 persons, and will attract further substantial discounts, as cleaning, laundry and electricity costs are NOT included.

  €30 is made up as follows: €5 / adult bus cost, + €20 Taxi costs (one way), this can be less if you take the bus from the Aeropuerto to Malaga bus station (1), which runs every 30 mins upto 2pm and from 5.30pm.
